British Academy Awards

Fools on the Hill has been nominated to be under consideration for the 2013 British Academy Awards!

Our documentary was featured in a roundtable discussion several months ago and a member of BAFTA was one of the commentators. She enjoyed the film so much that she has nominated it for consideration to the British Academy of Film & Television Arts.

We are thrilled and surprised that the UK would express such an interest in American Politics.

Fools on the Hill has made it into the semi-finals of Arclight Theater’s Social Issue Documentary Festival.

Out of hundreds of entries, we have made it into the top 17 in the documentary category. Voting has already started and we could definitely use your help!

Here’s how:

ArcLight has the trailers for the 17 films on YouTube. They are counting up the number of people who “like” the trailers. The top 5 with the most “likes” will make it into the festival.

Ellensburg Film Festival Showtime

Fools on the Hill will screen at the Ellensburg Film Festival on October 7th at 12:00 noon. If you’re planning on being in the area, please come out and say hello!

The film’s director Jed Rigney and producer Eliza Bayne are being flown out to the festival to speak about making an independent film, and are also speaking to a group of college students about the current political climate in the United States.
